Occupation 101

I am posting this because it’s the first time I see non-Arabs non Muslims saying the truth about the Zionists terrorism in Palestine, following is the synopsis:

"A thought-provoking and powerful documentary film on the current and historical root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Unlike any other film ever produced on the conflict -- 'Occupation 101' presents a comprehensive analysis of the facts and hidden truths surrounding the never ending controversy and dispels many of its long-perceived myths and misconceptions. The film also details life under Israeli military rule, the role of the United States in the conflict, and the major obstacles that stand in the way of a lasting and viable peace. The roots of the conflict are explained through first-hand on-the-ground experiences from leading Middle East scholars, peace activists, journalists, religious leaders and humanitarian workers whose voices have too often been suppressed in American media outlets. The film covers a wide range of topics -- which include -- the first wave of Jewish immigration from Europe in the 1880's, the 1920 tensions, the 1948 war, the 1967 war, the first Intifada of 1987, the Oslo Peace Process, Settlement expansion, the role of the United States Government, the second Intifada of 2000, the separation barrier and the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, as well as many heart wrenching testimonials from victims of this tragedy. "

7iber CENSORS AND TAKES SIDES

In an article by 7iber opposing the closure of Israeli embassy in Jordan, a non-violent for of protest, a blogger by the name of Rami makes an insulting remark basically writing off anyone who wants to close the embassy as a muslim fundentalist living in "the dark ages" . When I tried replied to his post multiple times yet 7iber editors did not post my remarks. So much for balanced and objective blogging. Below you will find Rami's post and my reply:

7IBER BLOG LINK
http://www.7iber.com/blog/2009/01/03/why-im-against-annuling-the-treaty-with-israel

RAMI: if there was any light at the end of the tunnel, it was the jordanian-israeli treaty…but lets face it.. israel fights hamas in gaza, and the jordanian government is opposed by the muslim brotherhood which is the mother of hamas… they operate kindergartens, schools, universities, and have a majority vote in the parliament…My message to arabs is stop dwindling into the dark ages, rise up and educate yourselves into the 21 century…

AYDA (ME): Rami, us living in the dark ages? Why don't you send this message to your Americans Christian fundamentalists and Jewish fundamentalists who are funding, arming, and defending a Jewish fanatical state called Israel based on a myth that God gave them the land. Maybe if those White Christan and Jewish religious lunatic give up their nutty religious pre-dark ages Biblical myths about the Promised Land then we can coexist together.

What we have in Palestine is an anachronistic fundamentalist contraption that must be dismantled and turned into a secular democratic state or we will never see peace in the world.

SAY NO TO A FUNDAMENTALIST JEWISH STATE IN OUR MIDST. NO TO A JEWISH TALIBAN STATE IN PALESTINE.

And now, I leave you with some warm images of fanatical jewish crusaders.

Well Ayda, unfortunately it is the reality that we are leaving that Arabs are divided within themselves on whom they should support. I think this is the first time in our history where we see some of our own people taking the other side! It is not that bad if we were mistaken. But to see the utter truth and then take the wrong side is something definitely disappointing.

As for 7iber, I'm not really sure what is the direction the authors are taking, but it seems like a fashion these days to call yourself a moderate and follow the track of those who give any excuses to discredit the resistance!!

I wouldn't go as far as calling them complicits simply because I didn't read the article, but I've seen other arab bloggers, and sadly some of them are jordanians and palestinians who decided that the only way to get back our rights is to follow the ill-advised approach of Fatah and their so-called moderates!

We are living in dark ages indeed. But contrary to what the writer of the article you are talking about thinks, the reason is the brainwashing ideas we've been fed which made us no longer sure of our identity or cause!

It is sad, I totally agree with you.
