Occupation 101

I am posting this because it’s the first time I see non-Arabs non Muslims saying the truth about the Zionists terrorism in Palestine, following is the synopsis:

"A thought-provoking and powerful documentary film on the current and historical root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Unlike any other film ever produced on the conflict -- 'Occupation 101' presents a comprehensive analysis of the facts and hidden truths surrounding the never ending controversy and dispels many of its long-perceived myths and misconceptions. The film also details life under Israeli military rule, the role of the United States in the conflict, and the major obstacles that stand in the way of a lasting and viable peace. The roots of the conflict are explained through first-hand on-the-ground experiences from leading Middle East scholars, peace activists, journalists, religious leaders and humanitarian workers whose voices have too often been suppressed in American media outlets. The film covers a wide range of topics -- which include -- the first wave of Jewish immigration from Europe in the 1880's, the 1920 tensions, the 1948 war, the 1967 war, the first Intifada of 1987, the Oslo Peace Process, Settlement expansion, the role of the United States Government, the second Intifada of 2000, the separation barrier and the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, as well as many heart wrenching testimonials from victims of this tragedy. I couldn't upload the video so I posted the link from YouTube.

Poll Results: Is Obama's win a good news for the Middle East

66% of those who participated in the Poll posted on this website on whether Obama's win will be good news for the Middle East thought that Obama won't be any better than George W. Bush!

After all the saga surrounding these elections and all the hope that came with it, I think it is safe to say that the majority of Middle Easterns realize that Obama will make no difference whatsoever in their lives!! Iraqis, Palestinians or Afghanis better not count on him to sort out the mess inflicted on them by the US army or Israel!!

I have to say that 18 votes is not a big indication of the region wide opinion, but Obama wasted no time to confirm my theory and those who voted with his deafening silence towards the Holocaust the Palestinians are suffering on the hands of Israel!!

Only 16% thought that Obama can be a positive influence, and move the region towards the change it desperately needs!

This Is What The American Government Think

The following is a part of an article written by Deb RIECHMANN on the Associated Press yesterday.

“US urges Hamas to cease rocket attacks on Israel”

CRAWFORD, Texas – The U.S. on Saturday blamed the militant group Hamas for breaking a cease-fire and attacking Israel, which retaliated with strikes of its own during what became the single bloodiest day of fighting in years.

The White House called for the cease-fire to be restored, yet there were few indications that the violence, which has left more than 200 people dead and nearly another 400 wounded, was waning. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned that the operation in Gaza would widen if necessary.

It was "completely unacceptable" for Hamas, which controls Gaza, to launch attacks on Israel after a truce lasting several months, said Gordon Johndroe, a spokesman for the National Security Council.

"These people are nothing but thugs, so Israel is going to defend its people against terrorists like Hamas that indiscriminately kill their own people," Johndroe said in Texas as President George W. Bush was spending the week before New Year's at his ranch here. "They need to stop. We have said in the past that they have a choice to make. You can't have one foot in politics and one foot in terror."

It’s funny how rude they are and how they ignore us completely, please write you comments and let me know how you felt after reading the article. I tagged it under history, because this is the history we are making now, and that our children will be spitting on later.

Who gave the first FINGER?!!

I came across a very interesting article the other day. After reading it, I couldn't stop smiling for a long time.

It's funny how a certain reaction to an incident becomes a standard reaction for a whole set of different situation across the world!

This is probably how all languages developed!! .. Read below

Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future. This famous English longbow was made of the native English Yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as "plucking the yew" (or "pluck yew"). Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying, See, we can still pluck yew! Since 'pluck yew' is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodentals fricative F', and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one-finger-salute! It is also because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the longbow that the symbolic gesture is known as "giving the bird."

IT IS STILL AN APPROPRIATE SALUTE TO THE FRENCH TODAY!

And yew thought yew knew every plucking thing.

Probably that's similar to how the term Baljiki evolved in jordan!
